Regular or Special Appointments
Academic Faculty and Administrative Professionals on regular or special appointments of half-time or greater are eligible for benefits as of the date of appointment unless otherwise noted.
Temporary Appointments
Academic Faculty and Administrative Professionals on temporary appointments of half-time or greater are eligible for benefits only after completing one year of continuous service. Nine-month temporary employees must have completed two consecutive semesters of continuous half-time or greater employment (excluding summer session) and be reappointed the subsequent academic year to become eligible; 12-month temporary employees must have completed twelve months of half-time or greater employment to fulfill the year of continuous service requirement. Enrollment in a retirement plan is required and is effective upon the date of employment.
Other Salaried
Post Doctoral Fellows, Veterinary Interns and Clinical Psychology Interns on appointments of half-time or greater are eligible for benefits as of the date of appointment, excluding the defined contribution plan for retirement (DCP) "no match".
Enrollment in a retirement plan is required and is effective upon the date of employment.
